The Novel 100 List

I started my blog as a way to chronicle my travels all over the world. What I quickly realized though is that I only traveled once a year, so my blog sat dormant the majority of the time. One day I discovered a book "The Novel 100" by Daniel S. Burt  for $6.99 on the clearance table at Chapters. At first I said to myself, "who reads a book about other books?" and then walked away. Over the course of a few days I realized I was the person who read books about other books and went back to the store to purchase the book. I thought that the list would make an excellent blog project for a writer like myself who had nothing to write about! So here it is a lifelong project for you to follow along while I complete it. I have decided to type up the list for  you, but please note that this list is not mine it can be found in "The Novel 100: a ranking of the greatest novels of all time" By Daniel S. Burt. This book is helpful for reading through the books, as it gives you the background behind why Burt chose them, and also a bit about the books themselves. I highly recommend purchasing the list because it has helped me understand some of the more difficult books on the list and is also a great little summary of the titles on the list.
